![]() ![]() Sting controlled 85% of the rights to “Lucid Dreams,” which includes an adaptation of his 1993 song “Shape of My Heart,” according to producer Nick Mira, who made the revelation in November 2018. It finally received 2.5 million listens, and on May 4, 2018, it was formally released as a single. The song “ Lucid Dreams” and the EP “JuiceWrld 9 9 9” were first made available on SoundCloud on June 15, 2017. Juice Wrld said the song was intended to be a “therapy session” during a time when he was having relationship issues in a June 2018 interview with Lyrical Lemonade. The RIAA awarded the song a Diamond certification in February 2022 for selling over 10 million copies in the United States. The remix was formally released on May 28, 2021, as a part of the re-release of Goodbye & Good Riddance, which celebrated the album’s third birthday. In May 2021, the remix surfaced online after fans raised $12,000 to buy the song from leakers. Lil Uzi Vert, a fellow American rapper and vocalist, was included in a 2018 remix, but it was never published because of problems with sample clearance. ![]()
